Cooking is not my passion but yes I do like cooking. For me it should be easy healthy and tasty too. So when I want my meal to be complete and tasty but I don’t want to spend more time in kitchen then I go for such recipe. Mix and match of various ideas available and I do something like this. Healthy spinach is favorite of my family so I try to imbibe it in as many dishes as I can.
Ingredients:
1 bundle spinach, 1 small onion, 2 cloves garlic, 1 small tomato chopped
Mixed herbs, Cheese 2 cubes / slices, Four bread slices (I prefer Brown Bread)
Options: We can add boiled corn/ capsicum/ paneer as per the availability.
I prefer to avoid cheese if paneer is available.
Method:
Wash the spinach and blanch in hot water for 5 minutes and chop finely and keep aside
Cut onion and garlic finely.
In a pan heat oil and add onions and garlic
Cook for 2 minutes and then add mixed herbs and tomato
Add 1 tsp maida and mix well
Add chopped spinach, salt , pepper and mix well
Add cheese and switch off the gas
Spread the mixture on bread slice and cover with other slice
Repeat for other slices
Apply butter on the outer surface of the bread and grill them.
